SAP offers 7+2 years of Maintainance strategy to its Customers.
SAP Software has three delivery Phases:
1. Restricted Shipment phase (2 Years)
2. Un-restricted shipment phase (5 Years)
3. Extended Maintainance (2 Years)
Restricted Shipment phase: This phase is also called as Ramp-up period. During this phase software is released to only limited circle of Customers. This phase is for 2 years.
Un-restricted shipment phase: This is the second phase of release. During this phase software is released to all the customers. This phase is for 5 years.
Extended Maintainance: After un-restricted shipment phase SAP will not release any upgradations to the software but it offers additional 2 years of Extended maintainance to its customers if they are willing to take it.
